Club History

CC Noé-Gascogne was founded on Bastille Day in 1995 by two Frenchmen.  We have played at a variety of different grounds before coming to rest at the beautiful 18th century Chateau at L’Isle de Noé (Isle of Noah).

Our cricket ground

Our long season, starting in April, is a mixture of competitions, the SW Cup and National League, and friendlies against other French teams and touring teams from as far a field as Australia, where a well deserved post match beer, wine and food is enjoyed in the very friendly local bar/restaurant. We are one of a select few that play on a grass wicket.

If you are looking to play more than one club whilst on tour, there are 12 other cricket clubs in the SW area and we can help arrange fixtures with them.

Where We Are

On the N21 from Auch to Mirande turn right onto the D2 to L'Isle de Noé.  As you enter the village our pitch is on the right in the grounds of the Chateau just before the centre of the village. Click here for a map

Region

L’Isle de Noé is located in South West France, in the department of the Gers (32) otherwise known as Gascony.

The attraction of the Gers is its empty roads, undulating landscape of vineyards, orchards, and fields, with stunning views of the Pyrenees.

The turbulent medieval history of the area spurred the development of dozens of planned fortified towns, known as Bastides.  A fine example is at Bassoues, with its bastide, dungeon and covered market hall, just 15 minutes from our ground.
